Cu Chi Tunnels & Mekong Delta 1 Day Tour:

Cu Chi Tunnels is a tourist destination in Vietnam that one simply cannot afford to miss. The network of tunnels of Cu Chi served an important role for survival and successful military attacks during the two wars in the country. Visiting the site would make people understand and admire the resilience of the Vietnamese.

Mekong Delta or locally known as the Nine Dragons River Delta is one of the natural wonders of Vietnam. The area is not only historically important but vital to Vietnamese economy as more than half of the Vietnam rice and fish comes from the delta region. The awe-inspiring beauty of the rice paddies, islands and rustic life of the villagers along the Mekong Delta is the perfect escape from the bustling city of Ho Chi Minh.

In the morning

6.45 am – 7.30 am: Our driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City Center. It will take about 1.5 hour drive to get to Cu Chi Tunnels.

Cu Chi Tunnels Video Presentation: Upon arrival at the Cu Chi Tunnels, a documentary will be presented to learn the basics about the network of tunnels. The content of the video will show the harsh conditions of both local civilians and military forces of North Vietnam during the war that led to the construction of these tunnels.

Explore the safe area of Cu Chi Tunnels: Discover why American troops planned attacks inside the tunnels did not go as they expected. Find your way to this maze-like deep underground tunnels and understand how the tunnel system works and withstood the massive aerial attacks. Learn the secret hide-outs, fighting bunkers, dangerous booby traps and rice paper workshop.

Dig in some guerilla food: Try out the food that sustained the guerillas during the war, a special tea and cassava. Serves as a light snack before heading to My Tho City.

In the afternoon

Lunch at a local restaurant: Enjoy local Southern Vietnamese cuisine

River cruise on a sampan : Relax and enjoy the spectacular view of the four beautiful islands; Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise. Experience the mind-blowing exploration of the canals of the Mekong Delta. After all, My Tho city is the most visited in Mekong Delta for a reason.

Visit a local coconut candy factory: Get on Tuk Tuk to go around the village before going to the Coconut Candy Factory. Sweet and mouthering seasonal fruits and freshly brewed tea will be served while being amused with Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by local villagers.

After the Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Tour, head back to Ho Chi Minh City and visitors will be dropped off at their hotels. Trip ends.

If the Customer cancels some or all portions of the booking regardless of the reasons, the Customer agrees to pay cancellation fees as follows:

•  2 days before departure day: No cancellation charge
•  1 day before departure day : 50% of the tour price
•  Cancel after 12 hours, we will charge 100%
